May No Cavity Club Friend of the Month
Roary the Rowdy Lion is the featured fuzzy friend this month! Roary was sent home with a member of our No Cavity Club and was given the name ‘Roary the Rowdy Lion’ because of his love for sports. Roary can be found cheering loudly and getting rowdy at his friends’ soccer games. While Roary may not be the best at sports, he sure loves showing support to his friends. To ensure he can give the best support, he maintains a healthy brushing routine to roar the loudest in the crowd. Roary’s routine includes brushing twice a day and trying to floss once a day. He even brushes his teeth extra if he knows he has a big game to cheer for!
To get a cute new plush toy next month, join the No Cavity Club at Pediatric Dentistry of Central Iowa! It’s easy to join. At your next dentist visit, you just need to have no cavities. If you have no cavities, you’ll be entered into the drawing for a chance to win a cuddly new friend!
At Pediatric Dentistry of Central Iowa, we promote healthy brushing routines and cavity-free reports to help children keep their teeth strong and healthy. Nutrition and the food they eat also play a significant role in maximizing children’s oral health.
Teeth need a variety of minerals and vitamins to help sustain oral health. While some minerals and vitamins can be supplemented by taking daily vitamins, it is important to eat foods rich in these nutrients.
Nutrients such as vitamins B3, B2, C, D, K, calcium, and iron help promote strong bones and teeth and avoid bleeding gums, canker sores, and tooth loss.
