Dr. Steven D. Whittemore graduated from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry in Iowa City, IA with an additional degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. With Dr. Whittemore’s education, training, and years of experience, you can feel confident that he will give your child the best care possible. The dentist can be a scary place for children, but Dr. Whittemore will help keep them calm, work to gain their trust, and ensure that every visit is a pleasant one. When he’s not at work, he enjoys the outdoors visiting national parks or visiting anywhere of significant importance related with local or national history. He loves sports, old cars, and is active in his church. Dr. Whittemore and his wife Natalie have four children Isaac, Jack, Joseph, and Abraham.
Dr. Whittemore Visits Honduras To Help With Dental Care
At the end of July 2025, Dr. Whittemore took his dental services down south on a mission trip to Honduras. Situated in the country's capital of Tegucigalpa, Dr. Whittemore ventured out with an organization called “World Gospel Outreach (WGO)” to provide care to Hondurans. He provided general dentistry check-ups, repaired teeth, and extracted teeth including wisdom teeth. They also visited an orphanage and provided much needed mental and spiritual support to that community.
Not all work done was dental—Dr. Whittemore also installed water filtration systems in homes and spread the gospel during his time there. He was able to help the community and grow spiritually at the same time. It was an extremely rewarding trip to Central America filled with fun, faith, and teeth!
